Terms and Conditions
(For Scout-e-zine story submissions to Honor Publishing Company)

These terms and conditions are in effect   November 1, 1999.

Part One:

1. Stories can be any length.

2. Each story submitted must be original and unpublished, or the submitter must own copy rights to the story
    (previously published stories are accepted).

3. All submitted stories are eligible to be published in Honor Publishing Company's free e-magazine, Scout-e-zine and   
    possibly in the Scouter's Digest Magazine.

4. Honor Publishing Company reserves the right to edit or alter any story submissions.

5. Authors of stories chosen by for inclusion in on-line e-magazine,  Scout-e-zine, will NOT be paid an honorarium.
Upon acceptance, Honor Publishing Company will send a free copy of Scouter's Digest Magazine to the author. Stories may be accepted for inclusion in the e-magazine or magazine at any time after being received.

6. For original short stories of 2,000 words or more: an payment is negotiated with the author per our Payment Policy.   
    Honor Publishing Company   will retain  First North American Serial Rights to publish the story in their magazine, in their
    on-line Scout-e-zine, and in any book series in the future, For stories that have been previously published in any format
    prior to submission, permission from the publisher will need to be obtained.

7. All stories selected for publication will be credited with the original author's byline and copyright claim. No
    compensation will be paid by Honor Publishing Company for stories featured in the free e-zine. Honor Publishing
    Company will have no rights or claims to these stories other than the right to accept them at any time for inclusion in
    the Scouter's Digest Magazine, in their on-line Scout-e-zine, or in any future book series, in which case an appropriate
    honorarium will be paid to the author of each selected story.

8. No story submitted to Honor Publishing Company will be published or offered for publication by Honor Publishing
    Company in any form or format other than those mentioned above without the original author's explicit permission.

9. Authors of stories and anecdotes selected for publication in our on-line, Scout-e-zine will receive a complimentary copy
    of  Scouter's Digest Magazine. Honor Publishing Company will contact the authors upon the magazines printing to verify
    mailing addresses. Honor Publishing Company will not be obligated to deliver a copy of the magazine if unable to contact
    the author at the e-mail address or physical address submitted with the story or otherwise on file.

10. Original authors retain all copy rights to their stories. These rights extend to any medium, including electronic and print,
      radio, television, motion pictures, cartoons, advertising, etc.
